Nigeria’s Head Coach, Justine Madugu, has unveiled a 23-player squad for the Super Falcons’ upcoming international friendly matches against Senegal as preparations intensify for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
The squad is headlined by captain Rasheedat Ajibade, striker Asisat Oshoala, and first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nandozie, all of whom return to the national team setup for the highly anticipated double-header against the Teranga Lionesses of Senegal.
The two friendly matches are scheduled to take place at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, with the first encounter billed for Friday, June 5, while the second match will be played on Monday, June 8.
The fixtures form part of the Super Falcons’ build-up programme as the nine-time African champions continue to fine-tune their preparations ahead of major continental assignments, including the 2026 WAFCON. The matches will provide Madugu and his technical crew with another valuable opportunity to assess squad depth, test tactical approaches, and strengthen team cohesion.
In goal, Nnadozie is joined by Comfort Erhabor and Anderline Mgbechi. The defensive unit features Oluwatosin Demehin, Rofiat Imuran, Shukurat Oladipo, Blessing Ilivieda, Glory Ogbonna, Sikiratu Isah, and Christy Ucheibe.
The midfield department boasts a blend of experience and creativity with Halimatu Ayinde, Ajibade, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Antoinette Payne, Jennifer Echegini, and Kafayat Shittu all earning invitations.
Leading the attack are Folashade Ijamilusi, Omorinsola Babajide, Oshoala, Francisca Ordega, Gift Monday, Blessing Nkor, and Joy Omewa.
