For Coach Fizdale, Sunday’s century-mark performance was exactly what the doctor ordered to navigate a rocky qualification patch. By blowing past the island nation to improve their record to 5-4, the team successfully positioned themselves exactly where the technical crew wanted them heading into the final stretch.
“We needed that win to stay in the fight and give ourselves a chance,” Fizdale emphasized during his post-game press conference. “I told the guys if we get to five wins, we are within striking distance of qualifying in the next window.”
