Abia Warriors in a highly contested match will take on a traditional side Kano pillars at Umuahia Township Stadium in Match Day three of the Nigerian Premier Football League.

It promises to be an exciting encounter and one that the Warriors will want to use to bounce back after the defeat away to Kwara United in a match day two encounter.
According to the Technical Adviser of Abia Warriors, Coach Erasmus Onu, the players have put the defeat behind them and are looking forward to the game on Sunday.


In the last five meetings of the two clubs they are tied to two wins each and a draw.
While speaking to Abia Warriors Media, Nmecha Johnson who manned the goalpost in Abia Warriors last two games expressed optimism that the home side will win the tie.
“The spirit is high, we are very, motivated. We’ve been training well (and) the aim is to get all three points nothing less than that…by the end of the game we will go home with all three points.”
