The apex football ruling body in the Gateway State, Ogun State Football Association has concluded arrangements to hold its Elective Congress as the current board nears the expiration of its tenure.
At its Annual General Assembly held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, in Abeokuta. The Congress agreed that election into different positions in the board will come up on June 1st, 2023.
The Electoral Committee was swiftly inaugurated as well as the Electoral appeal committee, the committees have been saddled with the responsibility of conducting a free, fair, and credible poll.
Going by the itinerary, sales, and return of form is scheduled to take place between Monday, 15th, and Friday, 19th of May 2023, while screening of candidates will take center stage between the 24th and 25th of May 2023.
The Chairman of Ogun FA, Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi who is also an Executive Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) made it known that the decisions taken by the Congress are in line with the statutes and directives of the Nigeria Football Federation.
He assured that mechanisms will be in place to ensure a hitch-free process as it has always been in the history of the Association.
