The Nigeria Institute of Sports (NIS) Multipurpose Hall, National Stadium, Lagos, will be a beehive of activities on Saturday, as the final of the third edition of the Dr and Dr (Mrs) D.K Olukoya Women Basketball Championship will come up, starting from 11am in the morning.
Top dignitaries, including the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-olu will be in attendance, as two Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries (MFM) Women Basketball ball teams from Lagos and Bayelsa, battle for supremacy.
The annual event is sponsored by Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, and is part of activities lined up to celebrate the birthday of the General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Olukoya and his lovely wife Dr. Shade Olukoya, who both share the same birthday, July 15.
The third place game, will see Sunshine Angels, who lost 44-42 to finalist MFM Bayelsa battle with Tap Queens of Ogun State, who also lost narrowly to MFM Lagos.
Over two million naira is to be shared amongst the first three teams, this is in addition to trophies, medals and other individual awards.
