EkoFootball Queens Tourney: There Is Something Right We are doing in Lagos For Women Football – Tade Azeez

The Vice Chairman of Lagos State Football Association Otunba Tade Azeez in all modesty took time to recognise and appraise the steady growth of women football in Lagos State.
The occasion was the presentation of the maiden Edition of the Ekofootball Queens championship at the secretariat of the Lagos state football Association on Ogunlana Drive, Surulere Lagos on Thursday.

” Women Football is going places in Lagos State.
The Chairperson of the women football Committee in Lagos Ms Yemisi Cole had informed me that there will be one activity or the other every month for women football in Lagos State”.

Otunba Tade Azeez who is also the president of the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) was full of delight as he re emphasised the fact that there is something right Lagos FA is doing for women football.
” 50% of the girls that played in the recently concluded NWFL Super 6 in Ijebu Ode were products of Ekofootball.

It is delightful to see the Association’s steady approach on the game for women yield positive result”.

Also the vice chairman of Lagos Swan Mrs Oluchi Tobe-Chukwu who was present at the occasion exclusively told tobexmedia.com that the opportunities that abound for aspiring women footballers in Lagos can not be under estimated.
“Lagos is the home of women football in Nigeria with a Football Association that is focused and passionate about young footballers and their future”.

The tournament kickstarts on the 2nd of June at the Legacy pitch Surulere and the Soccer Temple , Agege with 24 Amateur Teams slugging it out for a period of two weeks.

Her last club as an active footballer was Ibom Angels as She paved way to further her education years ago.
