Nigeria’s Amaju Melvin Pinnick secured his place in the exalted office of the FIFA Executive Committee after emerging victorious in Morocco pulling a whooping 43 votes against Malawi’s Walter Nyamilandu 8 votes.
While speaking after the election the NFF President revealed that the Executive President of Nigeria, Alhaji Mohammadu Buhari stood 100% by him.

“I just want to first thank God the Almighty for turning my dreams into reality, we worked and prayed”,
“I want to thank the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Mohammed Buhari very sincerely, this one is not Political, he stood by me 100% from the beginning and did everything plus all the diplomatic maneuvering from behind the scene to ensure that it was done”.
“I also want to thank the honorable minister of sports, he was exceptional, and of cause my excos without them there is no Amaju Pinnick and today we were able to make history”.
“This is quit historic, this the FIFA council with only 7 people in the world as this will open doors and like I said my first focus will be how to reposition football globally”.
Amaju Melvin Pinnick also returned as one of the five vice Presidents of CAF.
