“I Believe In My Players”: Waldrum Confident Super Falcons Can Make It Past Group Stage.

Super Falcons Coach, Randy Waldrum has said his team are really working hard and confident ahead of the World Cup opener against Canada on Friday, July 21st.

In an exclusive interview, the American tactician admitted that advancing past the group stage will be tough, but he is confident with the quality of talents in the squad.

“It’s been very good so far, the players are working really hard and the talent level is good,” He said.

“We are confident ahead of our games and if we can get the team organised, the way we want them, especially in the defense, we would have every opportunity to be successful.

“I believe in these players and the next ten days will shape up the team for the great assignment ahead.

“I am confident we can go past the group stage, as all the focus is now on Canada. We know how important the first game is going to be for us. We need to get something out of it, we have to definitely start well.” He concluded.

The Super Falcons will start their 2023 World Cup campaign, against the Canadian women national team at the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium on Friday, July 21st.
