Lagos First Lady Leads Other Top Dignitaries To Olukoya Basketball Final

Lagos state First Lady, Dr Ibijoke Sanwoolu will be leading other top dignitaries to the final of the 3rd Dr & Dr (Mrs) D K Olukoya Women Basketball championship in Lagos on Saturday.


The annual event which is sponsored by Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries General Overseer, Dr Daniel Olukoya is part of activities lined up to celebrate his birthday and that of his wife, Dr Shade Olukoya. They share same birthday, July 15.

The final is going to be a battle two MFM teams, MFM Women Basketball clubs of Lagos and Bayelsa states by 1pm.


Enroute the final, MFM Bayelsa Youth church team defeated Sunshine Angels of Akure 44-42 points while MFM Lagos came back from the jaws of defeat to hit the final after a close 47-46 points win over Tap Queens of Ogun state.


Sunshine Angels and Tap Queens will face off in the losers final by 11am. Venue is the National Institution for Sports (NIS) multipurpose hall, national stadium, Lagos.


Over N2m is available to be shared by the first three teams, this is in addition to trophies, medals and other individual awards.
As always this years event attracted some of the best women’s teams from all over Nigeria.
