Lagos Swan Vice Chairman Optimistic Of Victory as Swan hosts SESC in a Novelty Match

The Vice Chairman of the Sports Writer’s Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Lagos chapter, Oluchi Tobe-Chukwu Tobex has disclosed that victory is assured in their forthcoming novelty match against the Super Eagles Supporters Club slated for Saturday at the Agege Township Stadium.

In a brief chat with, Tobex disclosed that although the friendly game which is aimed at bringing both association together in order to foster unity amongst it’s members, she seems quite optimistic that Lagos Swan will get the better of their opponents.

“We love the fact that we will be playing our first football game since we came on board”.

“We expect it to be a very tough game but victory is ascertained as we will leave no stone unturned to see us get the better of the Super Supporters Club”.

This will be the first time that the Lagos Swan will engage in any sporting activities since the Debo Oshundun led exco came on board in March.

In other news, Lagos Swan under Coach Aikhoje Ojeikere has however handed 22 players for the forthcoming friendly game.

Top on the list is Alagbe Damilola as other players like Pooja, Emmanuel Josiah, Tobi Adepoju and 18 Others.

According to the team’s Technical Adviser, the team will have a training session on Thursday, as kickoff time has been fixed for 12pm on Saturday in Agege.

The Full List:Goalkeepers: Jerome Obuninta, Shina Oludare. Defenders: Tobi Adepoju, Victor Modo, Charles Diya, Raymond Nwaduba, Owo Alesh, Adetola Adeola Faruk, Babatunde Ogunrinde, Bolaji Okunola. 

Midfielders: Onwunali Chinedu, Alagbe Damilola Samuel, Olusola Adebayo, Tunde Oyedele, Oluwashina Okeleji, Sulaiman Alao. 

Forwards: Jonny Edward, Israel Ojoko, Atobatele Tolulope Taiwo, Sulaiman Adebayo ‘Pooja’, Kayode Ogundare, Emmanuel Josiah.

She is an award winning women's football writer. Tobex is also an ex footballer that was privileged to play in the first NFF organised women's league in 1990 as a player of Hamza Queens. Her last club as an active footballer was Ibom Angels as She paved way to further her education years ago.
