Nigeria’ Rivers Angels gets a date for CAF Women’s Champions League

2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership winners, Rivers Angels will kick off its campaign at the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League when the tournament kick off from November 5.

Africa football governing body, CAF confirmed the date for the tournament to take place in Cairo, Egypt, from 5 to 19 November, 2021.

Rivers Angels will compete with seven clubs for the first Women’s Champions League in Africa.

Wadi Degla FC of Egypt, ASFAR FC (Morocco), Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC (South Africa), Vihiga Queens (Kenya), AS Mandé (Mali), Hasaacas Ladies FC (Ghana), and Malabo King FC (Equatorial Guinea) are the other teams that have qualified for the tournament.

Rivers Angels won the 2021 NWFL Premiership Super Six at Ijebu Ode ahead of Delta Queens, FC Robo Queens, Bayelsa Queens, Sunshine Queens, and Edo Queens.
