Edo Queens Manager, Moses Aduku believes his team remain on track to qualify for the final of the 2023 NWFL Premiership Super 6, despite their open day narrow defeat to Confluence Queens.

The Benin based side lost 1-0, despite dominating in most of the match duration, missing chances upon chances, before Confluence Queens took advantage and scored a lone goal to wrap things up.

The ‘Obaseki’ girls now trail Delta Queens and Confluence Queens, with just one more game to play in group B.

“In football, it’s either you win, draw or lose. Today’s game didn’t favour us, as we lost alot of goalscoring chances. We do not deserve to lose,” He said.

“We have to keep working hard and believe that we can come out with something great in our game against Delta Queens.

Edo Queens will face Delta Queens on Friday at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, by 4pm.
