Stanley Osazee has told www.tobexmedia.com that he is “100 percent responsible” after Edo Queens suffered another damaging defeat in the Super 6, this time at the hands of Rivers Angels. Edo Queens have lost all their games so far in the Super 6.
The ‘Benin’ based side lost 2-1 to both Sunshine Queens and Delta Queens, before heavy defeats against FC Robo Queens and Rivers Angels.
“This wasn’t our plan and thinking. It has happened, there is nothing we can do about it. We will take it like that. It’s Football.
But it’s a very bad result for us. 4-0 loss? It’s terrible, we were very bad. We have to move ahead. We got it wrong. Technical crew and the players.
I personally take responsibility for the disappointment. He added in his postmatch news conference:
“There are lots of positives to pick from the tournament. We have seen so many lapses in the team and really need to work. We are sorry to the government and people of Edo State for this disappointment.
This isn’t our plan, we hope to get it right next time in future.” Edo Queens will face Bayelsa Queens in their last game of the 2021 NWFL Premiership Super 6 on sunday evening.
