Rasheedat Ajibade Sparkles as Atlético de Madrid Femenino Soar to Victory Over Madrid CF Femenino

In a dazzling display of skill and precision, Super Falcons attacker Rasheedat Ajibade played a crucial role in guiding Atlético de Madrid Femenino to a remarkable 4-1 triumph over Madrid CF Femenino on matchday nine of the 2023-24 Spanish Primera División Femenina League.

The exhilarating clash was played at the Estadio Fernando Torres, where Ajibade’s stellar performance left an indelible mark on the pitch.

Known affectionately as “The Girl With The Blue Hair” by her fans, Ajibade wasted no time making her presence felt. In the 5th minute, she showed her playmaking prowess by delivering a defense-splitting pass to Sheila Guijarro, whose left-footed shot found the back of the net, giving Atlético an early lead.

Continuing her onslaught, Ajibade found the back of the net herself in the 8th minute with a powerful header from close range. The goal came from a beautifully executed cross by Eva Navarro, following a set-piece situation. The former FC Robo attacker’s dynamic contributions set the tone for Atlético’s dominance in the match.

Ajibade’s stellar performance earned her a well-deserved substitution in the 62nd minute, with Marta Cardona taking her place.

With this superb performance away from home, Atlético de Madrid Femenino now occupies the 4th position on the Spanish Primera División Femenina league table, amassing 19 points from 9 games. They trail league leaders Barcelona Femenino by 8 points, setting the stage for an exciting upcoming match at home against Granada Femenino, where they aim to close the gap and further assert their presence in the league.
