Head of Administration, Trade and Investment of the Nigeria High Commission, Canberra, Australia, Mrs. Mercy Clement is optimistic that the Super Falcons can go all the way to lift the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

.An ecstatic Mrs Clement said this after Nigeria got through to the second round of the Competition with five points after a goalless draw against Ireland on Monday, at the Brisbane Stadium

“I feel exhilarated, so excited to wear the ‘green and white’ colour because the Super Falcons have made all of us proud,” She said.

“We are glad that they were able to fight and prove to the World that they can do great things. Every Nigerian here is celebrating and we hope it continues that way.

The astute Diplomat said regardless of the odds against the Super Falcons, the team can go all the way to the final and do the unimaginable. She also promised that the Nigerian High Commission in Australia, headed by Anderson Madubike will continue to give massive supports to the team and the NFF.
“We will take it step by step, we just qualified today, so we are going to plan, strategise and set the way forward.
“Be rest assured that the Nigeria High Commission here in Australia, under the leadership of Ambassador Anderson Madubike will continue giving supports to the Nigerian Community here, the Super Falcons and the NFF, as we look forward to winning the World Cup, because that’s our dream and we also urge all Nigerians back home to keep praying and supporting the team.”
The Super Falcons on Monday qualified through to the second round of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup and will play the winner of Group D, which comprises of England, China, Denmark and Haiti.
