Super Falcons of Nigeris newly invited goalkeeper Yewande Balogun has come out to say that she is is blessed and overwhelmed to have been handed invitation to the Nigerian Women team for the USA Summer Series tournament as she believes she will add value to the already star stud super Falcons team.
“I’m not sure of I have the words to really describe how I felt when I got the invitation as I was overwhelmed, excited and blessed”.
“I know it is such an honor and privilege to represent Nigeria so I am incredibly excited to be here”.
On what she thinks she can contribute to the team, California Storms keeper said,
“I think I can add value to the team, you know they say goalkeepers get better with age and also have passion for Coaching and I can kinda bring that to the squad as I can Coach as well”.
She rounded up by saying her greatest strength as a goalkeeper is her ability to stop shots and would try and focus, put in her best then organize her defense well, she concluded.
The Nine –time African champions Nigeria have a date with Jamaica in the United States of America in this year’s Summer Series – a 4-Nation Tournament also involving hosts USA, Jamaica and Portugal’s ‘A’ Women Teams.
