Wheelchair Basketball Seyi Johnson Announces Multi Million Naira Sponsorship With BetKing

The President of Wheelchair Basketball Federation of Nigeria (WBF), Mr. Seyi Johnson, has announced a multi-million naira sponsorship deal with Sports betting company, BetKing.

The deal was brokered by world renowned sports marketing company, Nilayo Sports Management Limited on Tuesday.

According to the details of the deal, the Wheelchair Basketball Federation sealed a 3-year multi-million Naira sponsorship contract with the betting company.

Speaking on the details of the deal, President of the WBF, said the deal which is a major one will definitely help on the rebranding efforts of the WBF new board.

Johnson hailed BetKing for coming to the aid of the Federation in terms of sponsorship, adding that, the athletes will be the greatest beneficiary.

He believes the Federation will ride on the crest of partnership to bring joy to the faces of Nigerians at the forthcoming African Para Games in September and other International Championships.

The sports marketer noted, “this deal has opened a new chapter in the game of wheelchair basketball after the loss of sponsors in the last decade.

Seyi Johnson said: “I want to thank BetKing for choosing to identify with the Wheelchair Basketball Federation. under the current board, the players will be featuring in the men’s and women’s categories at the forthcoming 2023 African Para Games in Ghana and the sponsorship will definitely be strategic for marketing purposes.”

He added: “I am convinced that the sponsorship will increase the competitiveness of the game across the country and our results will definitely attract more sponsor.

“I want to thank every member of the Federation for the confidence reposed in me to lead the Wheelchair Basketball and it is my aspirations we surpass previous records set by my predecessors”, he stressed.
