The Super Falcons of Nigeria have officially touched down in Rabat, Morocco, making a spectacular and culturally rich entrance ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. For the first time ever, the team was outfitted in a custom-designed traditional departure costume, setting a vibrant and unified tone for their title defence.
Following the conclusion of their ten-day training tour in Casablanca, the squad travelled to their host city in exceptionally high spirits. The players were pictured on their team bus radiating confidence and joy, dressed elegantly in matching green and white tie-dye African gowns, perfectly complemented by beautifully tied traditional headwraps
This historic departure attire not only showcases Nigerian culture on the continental stage but also highlights the enhanced support and morale within the camp.
The defending champions are now fully settled in Rabat, where they are scheduled to play all of their Group C matches. The Super Falcons will officially begin their pursuit of a record-extending eleventh WAFCON crown when they take on Malawi in their opening fixture on Tuesday, 28th July, before facing their other group opponents, Zambia and Egypt.
