Ahudiyannem Queens Chairman, Dr. Robert Onyeani has urged his squad to quickly put their 2-0 group-stage loss to Rivers Angels behind them and refocus on securing a place in the tournament final against Delta Queens.

Addressing the team via video conference following their final Group B fixture, Dr. Onyeani acknowledged his disappointment with the sluggish performance—notably the lack of a shot on target in the opening 50 minutes. However, he emphasized that the setback does not diminish their strong campaign so far.
“Put the loss behind you. So far, so good, and I remain very proud of this team. Calm down, regroup, and go out there to fight. We must bounce back and reclaim our winning momentum,” Dr. Onyeani told the players.
The Queens, who had won three consecutive matches prior to the clash, saw their momentum disrupted early in the match after missing a penalty in the second minute and conceding one just seven minutes later.
Despite the loss, Ahudiyannem Queens finished top of Group B with nine points.
Calling on both the players and technical crew to keep their morale high ahead of the knockout phase, the Chairman expressed full confidence in their resilience.
“Today didn’t go our way, but one loss doesn’t define who we are. We have shown character throughout this tournament, and I know you have what it takes to come back stronger,” he said, before thanking the fans for their unwavering support.
Ahudiyannem Queens take on Delta Queens today at 3:00 PM, with a place in the final at stake.
