NWFL Super 6: Edo 2022 Will Go Down As Best Organised In History – Sabina Chikere

Edo State Sports Commission Permanent Secretary, Mrs Sabina Amiemenoghena Chikere has assured that Edo State will host the best NWFL Premiership Super 6 ever. A Sports Administrator per excellence, Mrs Chikere understands the core value of hosting a tournament like the Super 6, which is seen as the biggest Women Football League domestic tournament in Nigeria and perhaps the whole of Africa.

Edo State over the years, has rebuilt it’s image as a major force when it comes to Sporting events in the country, the potential of a sport-changing legacy is clearly evident in Edo, a State which boasts of one of the best Sports Infrastructure in the land.

The Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium is regarded as one of the finest Sporting edifice in the whole of Africa and has hosted some of the biggest Nigeria Sporting events, which included the 20th National Sports Festival, FIFA U-20, U-17 Women World Cup Qualifiers, The Nigeria Federation Cup (AITEO) Finals (Men & Women) and many more.

Benin, the host city for the NWFL Premiership Super 6, isn’t only a luxurious destination, but also one of the easily accessible state in the country, especially for most of the teams (Rivers Angels, Delta Queens, Nasarawa Amazons, Naija Ratels, Bayelsa Queens and Edo Queens) participating for this competition. It is a perfect city when it comes to hospitality and culture.
