Chairman of Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Championship side, Honey Badgers, Abdul Sule says the major target of his club is to gain promotion to top flight NWFL Premiership.
He told tobexmedia.com in Abuja during the 2021 Flying Officers Cup while appreciating the organisation of the first Women’s football pre season tournament in Africa.
“Honestly when I came here, I will try to see how we can groom the players. There must always be a target and the target is to get to Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership.”
“The performance of Honey Badgers have been very amazing. We have a very good and young team that is doing well. The officiating just like the man who is Organising the competition, everything is going fine. Flying Officers Cup is a very good competition. We are looking forward to seeing lots of good games.”
Honey Badgers FC finished bottom of Group A at the 2021 Flying Officers Cup with two points from three games behind Royal Queens FC, Naija Ratels FC, and Ghana Police Ladies FC.
The former Confluence Queens and Kogi United boss, Abdul Sule opined that the team need to adjust and bring in new players to boost the squad.
“At the moment, we need to adjust and do some work on the players. They have been very okay. Not the best in the competition but we have find some loopholes that we will try to make amendment and get one or two players to blend the team.”
