Lagos Agog As National Women Basketball 3×3 Championship Slams Off

There is unbridled excitement in the Nigeria basketball community as the national women 3×3 basketball championship begins Thursday in Lagos, February through to Saturday, February 26,  2022.

It is a 4 players per team format, with 3 players on the floor at a time, and using the half court format. 

The invitational championship has exciting 16 female teams drawn from across the country that includes, Team NK, Lagos; Fountain Queens, Ado-Ekiti; Frontliner, Lagos; FOBA, Abeokuta; Lagos Raptors Angels; Osun Pearls, Osogbo; Amazons, Lagos; Peace-Makers, Port-Harcourt; Sunshine Angels, Akure; Debenz, Lagos; Highflyers, Sango; Fingers, Ijebu-Ode; Warlord Queens, Sango; City Sparks, Abuja; Rising Angels; and Pump & Run, Lagos. 

The championship which is powered by Now Travels and Tours, and endorsed by the Nigeria Basketball Federation, would see basketball fans thrilled by ankle breaking crossovers and jaws dropping shots, in an electrifying environment with the usual the razzmatazz of the game.

Oluchi Tobe-Chukwu

Oluchi Tobe-Chukwu popularly known as tobex is the Vice chairman of Sports writers Association of Nigeria , lagos Chapter. She Is also the Media Spokesperson of the Super Falcons of Nigeria. She is an award winning women's football writer. Tobex is also an ex footballer that was privileged to play in the first NFF organised women's league in 1990 as a player of Hamza Queens. Her last club as an active footballer was Ibom Angels as She paved way to further her education years ago. She is a Federal Government scholar , with a degree in Mass communication, a second degree in Public Relations and Advertising (Communication Studies). She is a Wife and Mother.
