NFF Seeks Partnership And Collaboration With The National Information Technology Development Agency For eFootball


The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF on Wednesday in Abuja expressed interest to partner and collaborate with the National Information Technology Development Agency For eFootball (NITDA), so as to give the eFootball sector, a robust status in the country.

In line with the NFF vision to develop all aspects of the sports in the country, the NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau led his team, which comprises of the General Secretary, Dr Mohammed Sanusi and Board Member, Aisha Falode to the Office of the agency to discuss and reach an agreement to develop eFootball.

While addressing the delegation, the Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa, alongside the Director, Information Technology Infrastructure Solutions, Dr. Usman Gambo and Yakubu Musa, who is the National Coordinator, Office of the Nigeria Digital Innovation (ONDI) commended the impactful and visionary leadership of NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau and seeked for more improvement on the eFootball sector in the country.

Inuwa promised to support the NFF in it’s quest to promote and develop eFootball, by harnessing the status of the game, which will inturn improve the number of people involved professionally.

“I am glad that we can work together and achieve what is happening in other parts of the world. Mostly, when you go to FIFA/Playstation tournaments, you hardly see black people there. Indeed we have to encourage our people to participate more. We are ready to do this, with the NFF. ” He said.

eFootball has been regarded as a rival to EA Sports’ FIFA series; It has been described by The Guardian as the “greatest rivalry” in the history of sports video games and many Football Association bodies in the world have bought into the idea, including neighboring countries like the Ghana FA and Cameroun FA.

Oluchi Tobe-Chukwu popularly known as tobex is the Vice chairman of Sports writers Association of Nigeria , lagos Chapter. She Is also the Media Spokesperson of the Super Falcons of Nigeria. She is an award winning women's football writer. Tobex is also an ex footballer that was privileged to play in the first NFF organised women's league in 1990 as a player of Hamza Queens. Her last club as an active footballer was Ibom Angels as She paved way to further her education years ago. She is a Federal Government scholar , with a degree in Mass communication, a second degree in Public Relations and Advertising (Communication Studies). She is a Wife and Mother.
