Nigerian American Football Tourney: Greensprings, Olomu turn heads

The Nigerian American Football Association qualifiers Tournament among Secondary Schools in Lagos continued on Wednesday with more games played and talents spotted to develop and sensitize the consciousness of young ones to the sport.

Greensprings Secondary School won their games in both male and female categories. Green Springs Girls thrashed Olomu Girls 12-0 while they also pummelled Olomu Boys 24-0.

In another fixture played on Wednesday, Greensprings defeated Girls from Okemagba High School 6-0 to round off the day with another scintillating victory.

Olomu Girls and Boys outclassed Okemagba High School 18-0 and 6-0 respectively.

Efforts are being made to further popularize the sport in Nigeria with plans to ensure that the 36 States and Abuja are taught the rudiments of American Football at the grassroots.
