The NWFL Club Owners’ Chairmen/Team Managers Association hereby acknowledges receipt of the FIFA COVID-19 palliative care by all the eligible NWFL clubs.
The NWFL Club Owners equally appreciates the football ruling body in the land, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for facilitating and spearheading due release of the fund to the various receiving clubs.
The Club Owners, too, thanked the NWFL Management Committee headed by Aisha Falode for making good its promises to ensure each eligible club for the FIFA COVID-19 relief fund receives hers promptly.
NWFL Club Owners chairman, Mrs. Matilda Otuene-Onyiloha commended the headship of the NFF and NWFL on the laudable act further praised the bodies for being responsible, responsive, and sensitive to the plight of the clubs as a result of flu-like coronavirus pandemic on entire humanity.
Otuene-Onyiloha charged the recipients to use the palliative care judiciously and prudently.
“We are grateful to the NFF for being truthful to their words to make available the FIFA COVID-19 relief fund to the eligible NWFL clubs.
“Our gratefulness, too, goes to the NWFL Management Committee for working tirelessly to ensure the eligible clubs receive their rightful entitlement.
“The NFF and NWFL have shown they appreciate the harsh time clubs are passing through at the moment as a result of the ravaging coronavirus.
“I appeal to the recipients to make good use of the palliative care to soften some of the teething challenges.
“I urge the clubs to key into the various programmes by the NFF, CAF and FIFA to ensure football is played under a safe atmosphere and free from the biting impact of coronavirus,” said the NWFL Club Owners’ chairman.
